The Studio: Hungaristan Central Station

The proper acoustic treatment of small recording rooms often gets neglected and due to financial limitations the only goal is to make these rooms sound as dampened ("deaf") as possible.

Hungaristan Central Station is special in this regard, because despite its relatively small size (~150 m³ + 45 m³) a series of acoustic measurements helped its design and construction. The room's own sound becomes an organic part of the recording, which is particularly important for certain instruments (especially the drums).

The massive computing background makes it possible to make just about anything that can be done using the most advanced digital audio technology. Beside the computer based tools, a versatile selection of mics, a number of hardware instruments and optional analogue mixing are all available to help the creative work.

Hungaristan Central Station is not available to everyone, it only takes productions which represent a certain level of artistic value or otherwise draw our interest.

There's no hourly or daily rate, only full production packages are available, whose pricing is determined on a case by case basis. This ensures that the creative and experimental work can be continued until the satisfactory end result is achieved without having to worry about the budget.
